    Chris Hattam Cup

    19 Jun 2024

On 21 April, HKFC U10 Boys and U10 Girls retained the Chris Hattam Cup, with Lindsay Varty presenting awards following a great even in the spirit of Chris Hattam, our much-loved former U10 Head Coach.

In spite of the story weather on the day, there was entertaining rugby played. It was also an opportunity to spend time with players and coaches from other clubs and reflect on an enjoyable season.

We were honoured to have friends of the Hattam family with us, especially Fiona Gore, who shared this message from Helen Hattam:

"When I received the news that the Chris Hattam Cup was going ahead on the 21st April, I was filled with an overwhelming sense of pride to know that as a community, you continue to take care and bring joy and love to the memory of Chris.

It is truly comforting to all of my family that today there is laughter, enjoyment and kindness all around. We are sending much love and gratitude to you all for continuing to make Chris proud by being part of this treasured event.

Chris led by example and always had enough time and energy for us all. Chris Hattam deeply loved his family and community and paid forward in so many ways."
