Hong Kong Football Club Hosts Fancy Dress Squash Tournament In Support Of Operation Santa Claus

    02 Dec 2019

More than 180 players take part in annual event in which contestants shun sports clothing in favour of wacky outfits, raising HK$257,630 this year so far

Thor and Fred Flintstone took to the court as squash players swung into action to raise money for those in need. Donning fancy dress, adults and children battled it out at Hong Kong Football Club in the Wing Ding Squash Charity Tournament on November 23.

Among the more eccentric costumes were human-sized whoopee cushions, in celebration of the retro prank device. They competed at the annual match held at the club’s squash courts in Happy Valley in support of Operation Santa Claus, the fundraising campaign organised by the South China Morning Post and public broadcaster RTHK.
