It is also the first time for Happy to appear at adult level international tournament. Both of the JAMS, being on full-time national players, have been training non-stop at the Hong Kong Sports Institute. They travelled to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and competed in the Asia Badminton Team Tournament 2022 from 14th to 20th February 2022.

Hong Kong ladies’ team was in the same group as Indonesia and Korea. Saloni was selected to play in the second singles event against Indonesia and Korea whereas Happy was the third singles shuttler against Korea. In addition, both Saloni and Happy won their matches against Kazakhstan. Even though they both lost their matches against Indonesia and Korea, but the experience is priceless. They will both also earn was the important points to gain access into some of the future grand prix level competitions.
