Postponement of the 2021 New Year’s Day Youth Tournament

    21 Dec 2020

The HKRU has announced the postponement of the 2021 New Year’s Day Youth Tournament due to the ongoing COVID-19 social distancing restrictions.

Both the HKRU and the other stakeholders in the tournament agree that this is the responsible decision as we collectively battle the “4th Wave” of the pandemic, and we look forward to hosting the event later in the season once circumstances allow.

The 2021 tournament would have been the 54th edition, and over the years it has grown into one of the best loved annual events on the rugby calendar, showcasing the skills of many of the boys and girls who have gone on to win representative honours for both Hong Kong and beyond.

So, whilst we can enjoy an unaccustomed lie-in this 1st January, never fear – the NYD Tournament will return!
