    Box of Hope Donations 2025

    16 Oct 2025

Every child deserves to experience the joy of receiving a gift, no matter their background or living conditions. Help make this festive season one for everyone to enjoy by filling a box of hope with some essential gifts for underprivileged children.

    What is Box of Hope?

What started as a simple family project, packing boxes filled with gifts and essential items for children in need, has grown into a significant initiative, collecting over 34,693 boxes in 2024 alone.

Box of Hope’s mission serves two important purposes: to bring happiness to children facing difficult circumstances during the festive season and to educate the next generation about the realities of poverty.

By collaborating with schools, families, and communities like ours here at HKFC, Box of Hope helps everyone understand the widening wealth gap in Hong Kong, teaching us that not all children have the same opportunities.

Through this initiative, they aim to cultivate empathy and compassion, encouraging young people to appreciate their own situations while actively contributing to their communities.

Box of Hope exemplifies how collective efforts can make a significant difference, spreading hope and joy one box at a time.

    How does it work?

    1. Collect a gift checklist at the front desk

Box of Hope provides a detailed checklist of the types of items to put in your boxes. They have checklists aimed at Kindergarten, Primary students or Teenagers. One might look something like this.

    2. Decorate a shoe box or use a new sports bag

Everyone loves unwrapping a gift that feels like someone has thought of them, so decorate the box however you like; it's sure to make someone's day.

    3. Fill the box/bag with new gifts and essential items, feel free to include a personal greeting

    4. Drop your gift in the Box of Hope collection area in the lobby or end of the G/F tunnel to the sports field

The Box of Hope collection areas will be available at the club for two weeks, from the 1st to the 14th of November.
